This annual retreat is held at the Ananda Cottages in lovely Ubud. There is nothing quite like Yoga in Bali – there is deep spirituality, there is magic and there is charm. And in our case a Yoga studio overlooking the rice fields and distant volcanoes.
The morning program combines the laying out of a daily Yantra with flowers, Prânâyâma and meditations at dawn, the delight of Indian life music while having early tea, followed by a 2 hrs Âsana sequence. The afternoons introduce elements of Yoga philosophy, and a topic of the day which varies between the practice of Mantras, Mudras, Kriyâ Yoga and Dhâranâ in the Tantric tradition. Also part of it is the practice of Mouna (silence) during the mornings, and Kirtan – this retreat is for those that wish to search deeper into the spaces within.
The program is deeply enrichened by renowned Kirtan singer and musician Geoffrey Gordon (of Krishna Das, Bhagawan Das, Ram Dass, Jai Uttal and Coleman Barks fame)!
The course then ends with paying respect to the spiritual environment with a private ceremony at night in one of the temples or shrines near Ubud.
Please note that the retreat starts in the late afternoon of the 19th, and ends at noon on the 26th June.
